Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
युद्ध्यस्व नरदेवेन लक्ष्मणेन रणे सह ।
हतस्त्वं देवताकार्यं करिष्यसि यमक्षये ॥६-८७-३०॥
yuddhyasva naradevena lakṣmaṇena raṇe saha |
hatastvaṃ devatākāryaṃ kariṣyasi yamakṣaye ॥6-87-30॥
Translation
Fight with Lakshmana, the god among men, in battle. Being killed, you shall fulfill the purpose of the gods in the abode of Yama.
हिंदी अनुवाद
युद्धभूमि में नरदेव (पुरुषों में देवता समान) लक्ष्मण के साथ युद्ध करो। मारे जाने पर तुम यमलोक में देवताओं का कार्य (राक्षस-नाश) सिद्ध करोगे।
English Commentary
Vibhishana mixes irony with truth. Indrajit's death is the 'work of the gods.' By dying, he will please the gods. Calling Lakshmana 'Naradeva' (God among men) acknowledges his divine aspect. Vibhishana provokes Indrajit for the final battle to hasten his end.

विभीषण व्यंग्य और सत्य का मिश्रण करते हैं। इन्द्रजीत का वध ही 'देवताकार्य' है। मरने के बाद वह देवताओं को प्रसन्न करेगा। लक्ष्मण को 'नरदेव' कहना उनके अंशावतार स्वरूप को मान्यता देना है। विभीषण इन्द्रजीत को अंतिम युद्ध के लिए प्रेरित कर रहे हैं ताकि उसका अंत शीघ्र हो।
