निदर्शयस्वात्मबलं समुद्यतं कुरुष्व सर्वायुधसायकव्ययम् ।
न लक्ष्मणस्यैत्य हि बाणगोचरं त्वमद्य जीवन् सबलो गमिष्यसि ॥६-८७-३१॥
nidarśayasvātmabalaṃ samudyataṃ kuruṣva sarvāyudhasāyakavyayam |
na lakṣmaṇasyaitya hi bāṇagocaraṃ tvamadya jīvan sabalo gamiṣyasi ॥6-87-31॥
Translation
Display your mobilized strength and expend all your weapons and arrows. Having come within the range of Lakshmana's arrows, you shall not depart alive with your army today.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अपने उद्यत (तैयार) आत्मबल को दिखाओ और अपने समस्त आयुधों तथा बाणों का प्रयोग कर लो। लक्ष्मण के बाणों की सीमा (रेंज) में आकर आज तुम सेना सहित जीवित नहीं जा सकोगे।
English Commentary
This is the Final Ultimatum. Vibhishana tells Indrajit to use all his might, but the outcome is predetermined. Entering the 'Banagochara' (range of arrows) is entering the jaws of death. The Sarga ends with the prophecy that the end of unrighteousness is now guaranteed at the hands of Lakshmana.
हिंदी टीका
यह एक अंतिम चेतावनी है। विभीषण इन्द्रजीत से कहते हैं कि वह अपना पूरा जोर लगा ले, लेकिन परिणाम पूर्व-निर्धारित है। बाणों की पहुँच में आना मृत्यु के मुख में आना है। यह सर्ग इस भविष्यवाणी के साथ समाप्त होता है कि अधर्म का अंत अब लक्ष्मण के हाथों सुनिश्चित है।
