Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अदृश्यः सर्वभूतानां ततो भवति राक्षसः ।
निहन्ति समरे शत्रून् बध्नाति च शरोत्तमैः ॥६-८७-५॥
adṛśyaḥ sarvabhūtānāṃ tato bhavati rākṣasaḥ |
nihanti samare śatrūn badhnāti ca śarottamaiḥ ॥6-87-5॥
Translation
Thereafter (after the offering), that Rakshasa becomes invisible to all beings, kills enemies in battle, and binds them with excellent arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तदनन्तर (बलि देने के बाद) वह राक्षस सभी प्राणियों के लिए अदृश्य हो जाता है और युद्ध में शत्रुओं का हनन करता है तथा उन्हें उत्तम बाणों से बाँध लेता है।
English Commentary
This was the secret Vibhishana knew. Upon completion of the sacrifice, Indrajit would gain the boon of 'invisibility.' Fighting an invisible enemy is nearly impossible, as Shri Rama and Lakshmana had previously experienced. Vibhishana is warning Lakshmana that if this ritual is completed, the consequences will be catastrophic.

यही वह रहस्य था जिसे विभीषण जानते थे। यज्ञ पूर्ण होने पर इन्द्रजीत को 'अदृश्यता' का वरदान मिल जाता था। अदृश्य शत्रु से लड़ना लगभग असंभव है, जैसा कि श्री राम और लक्ष्मण पहले अनुभव कर चुके थे। विभीषण लक्ष्मण को चेतावनी दे रहे हैं कि यदि यह यज्ञ पूरा हो गया, तो परिणाम विनाशकारी होंगे।
