उद्यतायुधनिस्त्रिंशो रथे सुसमलङ्कृते ।
कालाश्वयुक्ते महति स्थितः कालान्तकोपमः ॥६-८८-२॥
udyatāyudhanistriṃśo rathe susamalaṅkṛte |
kālāśvayukte mahati sthitaḥ kālāntakopamaḥ ॥6-88-2॥
Translation
Standing on a huge, well-decorated chariot yoked with black horses, with sword and weapons raised, he looked like the Destroyer (Yama/Death) himself.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह काल (मृत्यु) के समान काले घोड़ों से युक्त, भली-भांति सजाए हुए विशाल रथ पर, हाथ में खड्ग और अन्य आयुध उठाए हुए कालान्तक (यमराज) की भांति स्थित था।
English Commentary
A terrifying description of Indrajit. The black horses and comparison to Yama signal that he is descending upon the battlefield as death personified. With his sacrifice disrupted, he now relies on his physical prowess and martial skills. His chariot is not just a vehicle but a throne of his ego and power.

इन्द्रजीत के स्वरूप का भयावह चित्रण। काले घोड़े और यमराज से तुलना यह संकेत देते हैं कि वह अब मृत्यु बनकर रणभूमि में उतरने वाला है। यज्ञ भंग होने के बाद अब वह अपनी शारीरिक शक्ति और शस्त्र कौशल पर निर्भर है। उसका रथ केवल वाहन नहीं, अपितु उसके अहंकार और शक्ति का सिंहासन है।
