निजघान महावेगान् लक्ष्मणो राक्षसोरसि ।
सुपत्रवाजिता बाणा ज्वलिता इव पन्नगाः ॥६-८८-३२॥
nijaghāna mahāvegān lakṣmaṇo rākṣasorasi |
supatravājitā bāṇā jvalitā iva pannagāḥ ॥6-88-32॥
Translation
...and struck them with great speed into the Rakshasa's chest. Those well-feathered arrows looked like blazing snakes.
हिंदी अनुवाद
...उस राक्षस की छाती में बड़े वेग से मारे। वे सुंदर पंखों वाले बाण प्रज्वलित सर्पों के समान लग रहे थे।
English Commentary
Lakshmana's strike was precise—straight to the chest. While Indrajit's arrows were 'venomous snakes,' Lakshmana's were 'blazing snakes' (snakes of fire). This indicates that Lakshmana's radiance is more powerful than Indrajit's poison.

लक्ष्मण का प्रहार सटीक था—सीधे छाती पर। इन्द्रजीत के बाण 'विषैले सर्प' थे, तो लक्ष्मण के बाण 'प्रज्वलित सर्प' (आग के सांप) थे। यह दर्शाता है कि लक्ष्मण का तेज इन्द्रजीत के विष से अधिक शक्तिशाली है।
