नैर्ऋतोरस्यभासन्त सवितू रश्मयो यथा ।
स शरैराहतस्तेन सरोषो रावणात्मजः ॥६-८८-३३॥
nairṛtorasyabhāsanta savitū raśmayo yathā |
sa śarairāhatastena saroṣo rāvaṇātmajaḥ ॥6-88-33॥
Translation
Those arrows shone on the Rakshasa's chest like the rays of the sun. Struck by those arrows, the son of Ravana was filled with rage.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे बाण राक्षस की छाती में सूर्य की किरणों की भांति चमक रहे थे। लक्ष्मण के बाणों से आहत होकर वह रावणपुत्र रोष में भर गया।
English Commentary
Lakshmana's arrows possessed the brilliance of the sun. They struck Indrajit's chest like rays piercing the darkness. Being wounded only fueled Indrajit's rage further. This was the reaction of a wounded lion.

लक्ष्मण के बाणों में सूर्य का तेज था। वे इन्द्रजीत की छाती में ऐसे लगे जैसे अन्धकार को चीरती किरणें। घायल होने पर इन्द्रजीत का क्रोध और भड़क गया। यह एक घायल शेर की प्रतिक्रिया थी।
