विमर्दस्तुमुलो युद्धे परस्परजयैषिणोः ।
उभौ हि बलसम्पन्नावुभौ विक्रमशालिनौ ॥६-८८-३५॥
vimardastumulo yuddhe parasparajayaiṣiṇoḥ |
ubhau hi balasampannāvubhau vikramaśālinau ॥6-88-35॥
Translation
A tumultuous clash occurred in the battle between the two, both desiring victory over the other. Indeed, both were endowed with strength and both were possessed of valor.
हिंदी अनुवाद
एक-दूसरे को जीतने की इच्छा रखने वाले उन दोनों के बीच युद्ध में तुमुल (घोर) संघर्ष हुआ। वे दोनों ही बल संपन्न थे और दोनों ही पराक्रमी थे।
English Commentary
The battle is now at its peak. 'Tumula' describes the noise and chaos. Both sides have a burning desire for victory ('Jayaiṣiṇau'). Neither is weak, making the outcome uncertain and thrilling.
हिंदी टीका
युद्ध अब अपने चरम पर है। 'तुमुल' शब्द शोर और अराजकता का वर्णन करता है। दोनों पक्षों में विजय की उत्कट अभिलाषा (जयैषिणौ) है। यहाँ कोई भी कमजोर नहीं है, जिससे परिणाम अनिश्चित और रोमांचक बन जाता है।
