ततः शरं दाशरथिः सन्धायामित्रकर्शनः ।
ससर्ज राक्षसेन्द्राय क्रुद्धः सर्प इव श्वसन् ॥६-८९-१॥
tataḥ śaraṃ dāśarathiḥ sandhāyāmitrakarśanaḥ |
sasarja rākṣasendrāya kruddhaḥ sarpa iva śvasan ॥6-89-1॥
Translation
Then the son of Dasaratha (Lakshmana), the scorcher of enemies, fixed an arrow and, enraged and hissing like a serpent, released it at the Rakshasa leader (Indrajit).
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब शत्रुओं का नाश करने वाले दशरथनंदन (लक्ष्मण) ने बाण का संधान किया और क्रुद्ध होकर, सांप की तरह फुफकारते हुए, उसे राक्षसराज (के पुत्र इन्द्रजीत) पर छोड़ दिया।
English Commentary
Lakshmana's rage is expressed as 'sarpa iva shvasan' (hissing like a snake). This simile reflects his intensity and lethal intent. He is now fully prepared for the decisive battle and is launching a fatal strike on the enemy.

लक्ष्मण का क्रोध 'सर्प इव श्वसन्' (सांप की तरह फुफकारते हुए) उपमा से व्यक्त किया गया है। यह उनके तेज और घातक इरादों को दर्शाता है। वे अब निर्णायक युद्ध के लिए पूर्णतः तैयार हैं और शत्रु पर घातक प्रहार कर रहे हैं।
