इत्युक्त्वा सप्तभिबाणैरभिविव्याध लक्ष्मणम् ।
दशभिस्तु हनूमन्तं तीक्ष्णधारैः शरोत्तमैः ॥६-८९-१३॥
ityuktvā saptabhibāṇairabhivivyādha lakṣmaṇam |
daśabhistu hanūmantaṃ tīkṣṇadhāraiḥ śarottamaiḥ ॥6-89-13॥
Translation
Having said this, he pierced Lakshmana with seven arrows and Hanuman with ten sharp-edged excellent arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
ऐसा कहकर उसने सात बाणों से लक्ष्मण को और दस तीखी धार वाले उत्तम बाणों से हनुमान को बींध डाला।
English Commentary
Indrajit strikes both Lakshmana and his mount (Hanuman). It is the mark of a skilled warrior to damage both the enemy and his vehicle.
हिंदी टीका
इन्द्रजीत लक्ष्मण के साथ-साथ उनके वाहन (हनुमान) पर भी प्रहार करता है। यह एक कुशल योद्धा की पहचान है कि वह शत्रु के साथ उसके वाहन को भी क्षति पहुँचाए।
