समुद्रम् लन्घयित्वा तु घोरम् नद नदी पतिम् ।
कृतम् हनुमता कर्म दुष्करम् तर्कयेत कः ॥६-९-११॥
samudraṃ laṅghayitvā tu ghoraṃ nadanadīpatim । gataṃ hanumato loke ko'vindyāttarkayeta vā ॥6-9-11॥
Translation
'Who in the world knew or could even imagine the feat of Hanuman, crossing the terrible ocean, the lord of rivers?'
हिंदी अनुवाद
'संसार में ऐसा कौन है जो हनुमान की गति (पराक्रम) को जानता था या तर्क (कल्पना) कर सकता था कि वे घोर नद-नदी पति समुद्र को लांघकर (यहाँ) आ जाएंगे?'
English Commentary
The Black Swan event. Vibhishana points to Hanuman's feat as proof that the enemy possesses unpredictable and unprecedented capabilities. If one monkey can do the impossible, dismissing the rest of the army is dangerous ignorance.
हिंदी टीका
हनुमान का उदाहरण। विभीषण याद दिलाते हैं कि वानरों की शक्ति कल्पना से परे है। किसी ने नहीं सोचा था कि कोई समुद्र लांघ सकता है, लेकिन हनुमान ने यह कर दिखाया। इसका अर्थ है कि शत्रु की क्षमताओं ('Capabilities') को कम करके नहीं आंका जा सकता।
