तौ द्रष्टुकामः सङ्ग्रामे परस्परगतौ बली ।
शूरः स रावणभ्राता तस्थौ सङ्ग्राममूर्धनि ॥६-९०-२॥
tau draṣṭukāmaḥ saṅgrāme parasparagatau balī |
śūraḥ sa rāvaṇabhrātā tasthau saṅgrāmamūrdhani ॥6-90-2॥
Translation
Desiring to witness those two powerful warriors confronting each other in battle, the heroic Vibhishana, the brother of Ravana, stood at the front of the battlefield.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन दोनों बलवान योद्धाओं को युद्ध में एक-दूसरे से भिड़ते देखने की इच्छा से, वे वीर रावण-भ्राता विभीषण रणभूमि के अग्रभाग में खड़े हो गए।
English Commentary
Shri Vibhishana assumes the role of an alert witness and strategist here. He understands that this duel is decisive for the outcome of the war. Standing at the front demonstrates his fearlessness, as he is now completely dedicated to Shri Rama's cause, standing even against his own kin. This marks the pinnacle of his devotion to Dharma.

विभीषण जी यहाँ एक सजग साक्षी और रणनीतिकार की भूमिका में हैं। वे जानते हैं कि यह द्वंद्व युद्ध के परिणाम के लिए निर्णायक है। उनका अग्रभाग में खड़ा होना उनकी निर्भयता को प्रकट करता है, क्योंकि वे अब पूरी तरह से श्री राम के पक्ष में समर्पित होकर अपने ही परिवार के सदस्यों के विरुद्ध खड़े हैं। यह उनकी धर्मनिष्ठा की पराकाष्ठा है।
