वानरेन्द्रा जहृषिरे लाङ्गूलानि च विव्यधुः ।
ततस्ते कपिशार्दूलाः क्ष्वेलन्तश्च मुहुर्मुहुः ॥६-९०-२०॥
vānarēndrā jahṛṣire lāṅgūlāni ca vivyadhuḥ |
tataste kapiśārdūlāḥ kṣvelantaśca muhurmuhuḥ ॥6-90-20॥
Translation
The monkey leaders rejoiced and lashed their tails. Then those tiger-like monkeys began to roar repeatedly.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वानरराज अत्यंत हर्षित हुए और उन्होंने अपनी पूँछें पटकीं। तब वे वानर-शार्दूल बार-बार गर्जना करने लगे।
English Commentary
Lashing their tails is a traditional sign of martial excitement and the natural combat posture of the Vanaras. Vibhishana's words transformed their fear into pride. The epithet 'Kapishardulah' (tigers among monkeys) reveals their increasing aggressiveness. They were now fully prepared to challenge the enemy.

पूँछों को पटकना (लाङ्गूलानि विव्यधुः) वानरों के युद्ध-उत्साह और उनकी स्वाभाविक युद्ध-मुद्रा को दर्शाता है। विभीषण जी के वचनों ने उनके भीतर के डर को गर्व में बदल दिया। 'कपिशार्दूलाः' (वानरों में सिंह के समान) विशेषण उनकी बढ़ती हुई आक्रामकता को प्रकट करता है। वे अब शत्रु को ललकारने के लिए पूरी तरह तैयार थे।
