Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
अभीक्ष्णमन्तर्दधतुः शरजालैर्महाबलौ ।
चन्द्रादित्याविवोष्णान्ते यथा मेघैस्तरस्विनौ ॥६-९०-२९॥
abhīkṣṇamantardadhatuhu śarajālairmahābalau |
candrādityāvivōṣṇānte yathā meghaistarasvinau ॥6-90-29॥
Translation
Those two mighty ones were repeatedly hiding each other behind nets of arrows, just as clouds cover the sun and moon at the end of the hot season (monsoon).

वे दोनों महाबली बाणों के जाल से एक-दूसरे को बार-बार वैसे ही ढक रहे थे, जैसे वर्षा ऋतु (उष्ण-अन्त) में बादल सूर्य और चंद्रमा को ढक देते हैं।
English Commentary
Sage Valmiki employs a divine analogy here. Comparing Shri Lakshmana and Indrajit to the Sun and the Moon ('Chandradityau') affirms their radiant forms. The 'net' ('Jalaih') of arrows was so dense that the warriors themselves became invisible. This scene depicts the thrill of battle where physical forms vanish and only the interplay of missiles remains.

महर्षि वाल्मीकि जी ने यहाँ एक दिव्य उपमा का प्रयोग किया है। श्री लक्ष्मण और इन्द्रजित की तुलना सूर्य और चंद्रमा (चन्द्रादित्यौ) से करना उनके तेजस्वी स्वरूप को पुष्ट करता है। बाणों का 'जाल' (जालैः) इतना घना था कि योद्धा स्वयं ओझल हो गए थे। यह दृश्य युद्ध के उस रोमांच को दर्शाता है जहाँ भौतिक शरीर लुप्त हो जाते हैं और केवल अस्त्रों का खेल शेष रह जाता है।
