Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
लक्ष्मणो रावणिं प्राप्य रावणिश्चापि लक्ष्मणम् ।
अव्यवस्था भवत्युग्रा ताभ्यामन्योन्यविग्रहे ॥६-९०-३३॥
lakṣmaṇo rāvaṇiṃ prāpya rāvaṇiścāpi lakṣmaṇam |
avyavasthā bhavatyugrā tābhyāmanyonyavigrahe ॥6-90-33॥
Translation
Lakshmana had encountered Indrajit and Indrajit had encountered Lakshmana; in their mutual confrontation, an intense and fierce agitation arose.
हिंदी अनुवाद
लक्ष्मण ने इन्द्रजित को और इन्द्रजित ने भी लक्ष्मण को (निशाने पर) पा लिया था; उनके उस आपसी संघर्ष में अत्यंत उग्र अव्यवस्था (हलचल) हो रही थी।
English Commentary
Here, the word 'Avyavastha' (disorder/agitation) depicts the extreme state of battle where standard rules no longer applied. Both warriors were predicting each other's moves and countering them instantly. In their 'mutual confrontation,' they appeared equal in strength. This marks the moment where the commanders of the two great cosmic armies were locked in a lethal embrace.

यहाँ 'अव्यवस्था' शब्द युद्ध की उस चरम स्थिति को दर्शाता है जहाँ कोई भी निश्चित नियम काम नहीं कर रहा था। दोनों योद्धा एक-दूसरे की चालों को समझ रहे थे और तुरंत काट रहे थे। 'अन्योन्यविग्रहे' (आपसी लड़ाई) में वे दोनों समान बल वाले प्रतीत हो रहे थे। यह वह क्षण है जहाँ ब्रह्मांड की दो महान सेनाओं के सेनापति एक-दूसरे के प्राणों के प्यासे थे।
