Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
न तदानीं ववौ वायुर्न च जज्वाल पावकः ।
स्वस्त्यस्तु लोकेभ्य इति जजल्पुश्च महर्षयः ॥६-९०-३८॥
na tadānīṃ vau vāyu rna ca jajvāla pāvakaḥ |
svastyastu lokebhya iti jajalpuśca maharṣayaḥ ॥6-90-38॥
Translation
At that time, the wind did not blow and the fire did not blaze (they were stilled). Great sages muttered, 'May it be well with the worlds.'
हिंदी अनुवाद
उस समय न तो वायु चल रही थी और न ही अग्नि जल रही थी (वे स्तंभित थे)। महर्षि 'लोकों का कल्याण हो'— ऐसा जप करने लगे।
English Commentary
The impact of the battle had reached both physical nature and the subtle realms. The stilling of wind and fire indicates that this conflict was disrupting even natural laws. The sages' prayer ('May it be well with the worlds') signifies that the war was touching the boundaries of a cataclysm. It was a collective cosmic plea for the preservation of order.

युद्ध का प्रभाव जड़ प्रकृति और सूक्ष्म लोकों तक पहुँच गया था। वायु और अग्नि का 'स्तंभित' होना यह दर्शाता है कि यह युद्ध प्राकृतिक नियमों को भी बाधित कर रहा था। महर्षियों की प्रार्थना (स्वस्त्यस्तु लोकेभ्यः) इस बात का संकेत है कि युद्ध अब प्रलय की सीमा को छू रहा था। यह धर्म की रक्षा के लिए की गई एक सामूहिक ब्रह्मांडीय पुकार थी।
