सम्पेतुश्चात्र सम्प्राप्ता गन्धर्वाः सह चारणैः ।
अथ राक्षससिंहस्य कृष्णान् कनकभूषणान् ॥६-९०-३९॥
sampetuścātra samprāptā gandharvāḥ saha cāraṇaiḥ |
atha rākṣasasiṃhasya kṛṣṇān kanakabhūṣaṇān ॥6-90-39॥
Translation
Gandharvas along with Charanas arrived there (to watch). Then, to the gold-adorned black horses of that lion-like Rakshasa (Indrajit)—

English Commentary
The celestial musicians ('Gandharvas') and bards ('Charanas') arrived to witness this extraordinary duel. Indrajit's horses are described as 'black' and 'adorned with gold,' a combination representing his royal yet demonic power. This marks the beginning of Shri Lakshmana's strategic strike intended to dismantle Indrajit's mobility.

आकाश के दिव्य संगीतकार (गन्धर्व) और गायक (चारण) इस अद्भुत युद्ध के साक्षी बनने आए थे। इन्द्रजित के घोड़ों का वर्णन 'कनक-भूषण' (सोने के गहनों वाले) और 'कृष्ण' (काले) के रूप में किया गया है, जो उसकी राजसी और तामसिक शक्ति का मेल है। यहाँ से श्री लक्ष्मण जी के उस सामरिक प्रहार का आरम्भ होता है जो इन्द्रजित के गति के साधनों को नष्ट कर देगा।
