शरैश्चतुर्भिः सौमित्रिर्विव्याध चतुरो हयान् ।

English Commentary
Shri Lakshmana's unerring aim is proven here. 'Four horses and four arrows'—this demonstrates His marvelous control. A 'Bhalla' is a specific type of arrow with a broad, cutting head. He was now preparing to strike the charioteer. This shows the technical progression of the combat, systematically dismantling the enemy's operational components.

श्री लक्ष्मण जी की अचूक निशानेबाजी यहाँ सिद्ध होती है। 'चार घोड़े और चार बाण'—यह उनके अद्भुत नियंत्रण को दर्शाता है। 'भल्ल' एक विशेष प्रकार का बाण होता है जिसका अग्रभाग चौड़ा और काटने वाला होता है। वे अब सारथी पर प्रहार करने की तैयारी में थे। यह युद्ध का वह तकनीकी पक्ष है जहाँ एक-एक कर शत्रु के अंगों को काटा जा रहा है।
