ते शराः शिखिसङ्काशा निपतन्तः समाहिताः ।
राक्षसान् दारयामासुर्वज्राणीव महागिरीन् ॥६-९०-४॥
te śarāḥ śikhisaṅkāśā nipatantaḥ samāhitāḥ |
rākṣasān dārayāmāsurvajrāṇīva mahāgirīn ॥6-90-4॥
Translation
Those arrows, brilliant like fire, falling accurately upon their targets, began to tear the Rakshasas apart just as thunderbolts split great mountains.
हिंदी अनुवाद
अग्नि के समान तेजस्वी वे बाण निशाने पर गिरते हुए राक्षसों को वैसे ही विदीर्ण करने लगे, जैसे वज्र बड़े-बड़े पर्वतों को चीर देता है।
English Commentary
Vibhishana's arrows are compared to fire and Indra's thunderbolt, proving the superiority of his marksmanship. The word 'Samahitah' indicates that his aim was unerring. Just as a thunderbolt shatters the pride of mountains, his arrows were terminating the ego and the lives of the Rakshasas.

विभीषण जी के बाणों की तुलना अग्नि (शिखि) और इन्द्र के वज्र से की गई है। यह उनकी अस्त्र-विद्या की श्रेष्ठता को सिद्ध करता है। 'समाहिताः' शब्द यह बताता है कि उनके निशाने अत्यंत अचूक थे। जैसे वज्र पर्वतों का घमण्ड तोड़ देता है, वैसे ही उनके बाण राक्षसों के अहंकार और प्राणों का अंत कर रहे थे।
