विभीषणस्यानुचरास्ते ऽपि शूलासिपट्टिशैः ।
चिच्छिदुः समरे वीरान् राक्षसान् राक्षसोत्तमाः ॥६-९०-५॥
vibhīṣaṇasyānucarāste 'pi śūlāsipaṭṭiśaiḥ |
cicchiduḥ samare vīrān rākṣasān rākṣasottamāḥ ॥6-90-5॥
Translation
Vibhishana's excellent followers also began to cut down the heroic Rakshasas in the battle with spears, swords, and axes.

विभीषण के वे श्रेष्ठ अनुचर भी युद्ध में शूल, तलवार और पट्टिशों के द्वारा वीर राक्षसों के टुकड़े करने लगे।
English Commentary
Vibhishana's four ministers and his troops were contributing fully to the righteous war. Here, the epithet 'Rakshasottamah' (best among Rakshasas) is used for those who chose the side of Truth. This verse portrays collective valor, where a small but dedicated group challenges a vast enemy host.

विभीषण जी के साथ आए चार मन्त्री और उनके सैनिक भी धर्म-युद्ध में अपना पूर्ण योगदान दे रहे थे। यहाँ 'राक्षसोत्तमाः' (राक्षसों में उत्तम) विशेषण उन राक्षसों के लिए प्रयुक्त हुआ है जो सत्य के पक्ष में खड़े थे। यह श्लोक सामूहिक पराक्रम का चित्रण करता है, जहाँ एक छोटा किन्तु समर्पित दल विशाल शत्रु सेना को चुनौती दे रहा था।
