राक्षसैस्तैः परिवृतः स तदा तु विभीषणः ।
बभौ मध्ये प्रहृष्टानां कलभानामिव द्विपः ॥६-९०-६॥
rākṣasaistaiḥ parivṛtaḥ sa tadā tu vibhīṣaṇaḥ |
babhau madhye prahṛṣṭānāṃ kalabhānāmiva dvipaḥ ॥6-90-6॥
Translation
Surrounded by those Rakshasas, Vibhishana at that time shone like a king elephant in the midst of a group of joyous young elephants.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन राक्षसों से घिरे हुए विभीषण उस समय प्रसन्न हाथियों के बच्चों (कलभ) के बीच खड़े एक विशाल गजराज के समान सुशोभित हो रहे थे।
English Commentary
This verse depicts Vibhishana's dignified leadership. The analogy of young elephants ('Kalabha') and a king elephant ('Dvipa') illustrates the affectionate and protective relationship between him and his followers. He was the source of strength and direction for his group. This scene re-establishes his royal and martial grandeur, now consecrated in the service of Dharma.

यहाँ विभीषण जी के गौरवमयी नेतृत्व का चित्रण है। हाथियों के बच्चों (कलभ) और गजराज (द्विप) की उपमा उनके और उनके अनुचरों के बीच के स्नेहपूर्ण और संरक्षक सम्बन्ध को दर्शाती है। वे अपने दल के लिए शक्ति और दिशा के स्रोत थे। यह दृश्य उनके राजकीय और सामरिक वैभव को पुनः स्थापित करता है, जो अब धर्म की सेवा में समर्पित है।
