चतुर्षु समहावीर्या निपेतुर्भीमविक्रमाः ।
तेषामधिष्ठितानां तैर्वानरैः पर्वतोपमैः ॥६-९०-५०॥
caturṣu samahāvīryā nipe tur bhīmavikramāḥ |
teṣāmadhiṣṭhitānāṃ tairvānaraiḥ parvatopamaiḥ ॥6-90-50॥
Translation
Those four exceedingly valiant monkeys of fearsome prowess pounced upon the four horses. Being oppressed by those mountain-like Vanaras—

उन चारों भयंकर पराक्रमी और महावीर्यवान वानरों ने उन घोड़ों पर धावा बोल दिया। पर्वत के समान विशाल उन वानरों द्वारा दबाए जाने पर—
English Commentary
The comparison 'Parvatopamaih' (like mountains) for the Vanaras confirms their heavy build and immovable strength. Falling upon the horses was not just a strike but a maneuver to crush them with their weight. This is a form of combat where mass is used to incapacitate the enemy. Even Indrajit's celestial horses could not sustain the weight of these mountain-like Vanaras.

वानरों के लिए 'पर्वतोपमैः' (पर्वत के समान) उपमा उनके भारी शरीर और अचल शक्ति को सिद्ध करती है। घोड़ों पर गिरना केवल प्रहार नहीं था, बल्कि उनके भार से उन्हें कुचल देना था। यह मल्ल-युद्ध का एक ऐसा रूप है जहाँ भार (Weight) का प्रयोग शत्रु को अक्षम करने के लिए किया जाता है। इन्द्रजित के दिव्य घोड़े भी इन पर्वत तुल्य वानरों का भार नहीं सह सके।
