मुखेभ्यो रुधिरं रक्तं हयानां समवर्तत ।
ते हया मथिता भग्ना व्यसवो धरणीं गताः ॥६-९०-५१॥
mukhebhyo rudhiraṃ raktaṃ hayānāṃ samavartata |
te hayā mathitā bhagnā vyasavo dharaṇīṃ gatāḥ ॥6-90-51॥
Translation
Red blood began to flow from the mouths of those horses. Those steeds were crushed, shattered, and they fell lifeless to the ground.

उन घोड़ों के मुख से लाल रक्त बहने लगा। वे घोड़े कुचले गए, उनकी हड्डियाँ टूट गईं और वे प्राणहीन होकर भूमि पर गिर पड़े।
English Commentary
The end of Indrajit's steeds was gruesome and swift. The words 'Mathitah' (crushed) and 'Bhagnah' (broken) clarify the violence of the impact. The death of the horses symbolized the end of Indrajit's 'hyper-mobility.' He was now forced onto the ground like an ordinary warrior. This was a deeply humiliating and strategically devastating moment for the Prince of Lanka.

इन्द्रजित के अश्वों का अंत अत्यंत वीभत्स और त्वरित था। 'मथिताः' और 'भग्नाः' शब्द प्रहार की प्रचंडता को स्पष्ट करते हैं। अश्वों का मरना इन्द्रजित की 'अति-गतिशीलता' के अंत का प्रतीक था। अब वह भूमि पर एक साधारण योद्धा की भाँति आ चुका था। यह लंका के युवराज के लिए अत्यंत अपमानजनक और सामरिक रूप से विनाशकारी क्षण था।
