ततः सञ्चोदयानो वै हरीन् रक्षो रणप्रियान् ।
उवाच वचनं काले कालज्ञो रक्षसां वरः ॥६-९०-७॥
tataḥ sañcodayāno vai harīn rakṣo raṇapriyān |
uvāca vacanaṃ kāle kālajño rakṣasāṃ varaḥ ॥6-90-7॥
Translation
Thereafter, the knower of time and the best among Rakshasas, Vibhishana, spoke appropriate words at the right moment while encouraging the war-loving monkeys.

तदनन्तर, समय के ज्ञाता और राक्षसों में श्रेष्ठ विभीषण ने युद्ध-प्रिय वानरों को उत्साहित करते हुए उचित समय पर ये वचन कहे।
English Commentary
Shri Vibhishana is called 'Kalajnah' (knower of time), an essential trait for a commander. He knew exactly when to address the troops and bolster their spirits. Calling the Vanaras 'Ranapriyah' (war-loving) is a praise for their fighting spirit. His address is part of the psychological preparation of the Vanara host for the impending decisive clash.

विभीषण जी को 'कालज्ञ' (समय का ज्ञाता) कहा गया है, जो एक सेनापति का अनिवार्य गुण है। वे जानते थे कि कब सेना को संबोधित करना है और कब उनका उत्साह बढ़ाना है। वानरों को 'रणप्रिय' कहना उनके जुझारू स्वभाव की प्रशंसा है। विभीषण जी का यह सम्बोधन आगामी निर्णायक संघर्ष के लिए वानर सेना की मानसिक तैयारी का हिस्सा है।
