अस्मिन् विनिहते पापे राक्षसे रणमूर्धनि ।
रावणं वर्जयित्वा तु शेषमस्य हतं बलम् ॥६-९०-९॥
asmin vinihate pāpe rākṣase raṇamūrdhani |
rāvaṇaṃ varjayitvā tu śeṣamasya hataṃ balam ॥6-90-9॥
Translation
Once this sinful Rakshasa is slain at the front of the battle, consider his entire remaining force destroyed, with the exception of Ravana himself.

युद्ध के अग्रभाग में इस पापी राक्षस के मारे जाने पर, रावण को छोड़कर उसकी शेष पूरी सेना नष्ट ही समझिये।
English Commentary
Shri Vibhishana clarifies Indrajit's strategic importance here. By calling him 'sinful,' he underscores his unrighteousness. He believes that Indrajit's death will break the backbone of Lanka's military infrastructure. Except for Ravana, no warrior remained who could face the fierce momentum of the Vanara host. This information is meant to elevate the Vanaras' confidence to its peak.

विभीषण जी यहाँ इन्द्रजित के सामरिक महत्व को स्पष्ट कर रहे हैं। वे उसे 'पापी' कहकर उसके अधर्म को रेखांकित करते हैं। उनका मानना है कि इन्द्रजित की मृत्यु लंका के सैन्य तंत्र की रीढ़ को तोड़ देगी। रावण के अतिरिक्त अब कोई भी ऐसा योद्धा नहीं बचा था जो वानर सेना के प्रचंड वेग का सामना कर सके। यह सूचना वानरों के आत्मविश्वास को चरम पर पहुँचाने वाली है।
