अविध्यत् परमक्रुद्धः शीघ्रास्त्रं सम्प्रदर्शयन् ।
राक्षसेन्द्रसुतं चापि बाणौघैः समताडयत् ॥६-९१-२६॥
avidhyat parama krūddhaḥ śīghrāstraṃ sampradarśayan |
rākṣasendrasutaṃ cāpi bāṇaugaiḥ samatāḍayat ॥6-91-26॥
Translation
Pierced them, and becoming exceedingly enraged, displaying His mastery of 'swift missiles' (Shighrastra), He also struck the son of the Rakshasa king with volleys of arrows.
हिंदी अनुवाद
बेध दिया और अत्यंत क्रोधित होकर अपनी 'शीघ्र-अस्त्र' विद्या का प्रदर्शन करते हुए, उन्होंने राक्षसराज के पुत्र को भी बाणों के समूहों से पीटा।
English Commentary
Mastery of 'Shighrastra' (swift weaponry) is mentioned here, which involves the skill of discharging multiple arrows in the blink of an eye. Shri Lakshmana's rage had now assumed a destructive form. He struck Indrajit with a 'stream of arrows,' completely surrounding him. This scene was intended to break Indrajit's defensive position and place him in direct peril.

यहाँ 'शीघ्र-अस्त्र' विद्या का उल्लेख है, जिसमें पलक झपकते ही अनेक बाण छोड़ने की कुशलता होती है। श्री लक्ष्मण जी का क्रोध अब संहारक रूप ले चुका था। उन्होंने इन्द्रजित पर 'बाणौघैः' (बाणों के प्रवाह) से प्रहार किया, जिससे वह पूरी तरह घिर गया। यह दृश्य इन्द्रजित की रक्षात्मक स्थिति को तोड़कर उसे सीधे संकट में डालने वाला था।
