निबर्हयन्तश्चान्योन्यं ते राक्षसवनौकसः ।
भर्तारं न जहुर्युद्धे सम्पतन्तस्ततस्ततः ॥६-९१-३॥
nibarhayantaścānyonyaṃ te rākṣasavanaukasaḥ |
bhartāraṃ na jahuryuddhe sampatantastatastathaḥ ॥6-91-3॥
Translation
Slaying one another and falling here and there, those Rakshasas and monkeys did not desert their leaders in the battle while rushing in all directions.
हिंदी अनुवाद
एक-दूसरे का संहार करते हुए वे राक्षस और वानर इधर-उधर गिरते हुए भी युद्ध में अपने स्वामी (सेनापति) का साथ नहीं छोड़ रहे थे।
English Commentary
This verse demonstrates the loyalty and devotion of both armies toward their respective leaders. Despite the horrors of carnage, the soldiers did not flee. The phrase 'Bhartaram na jahuh' proves that the Vanaras were ready to sacrifice themselves for Shri Lakshmana and the Rakshasas for Indrajit. It reveals high military discipline where the honor of the master and the goal of victory override personal safety.

यह श्लोक दोनों सेनाओं की अपने नेतृत्व के प्रति निष्ठा और स्वामी-भक्ति को दर्शाता है। संहार की विभीषिका के बावजूद सैनिक पलायन नहीं कर रहे थे। 'भर्तारं न जहुः' शब्द यह सिद्ध करते हैं कि वानर श्री लक्ष्मण जी के लिए और राक्षस इन्द्रजित के लिए अपने प्राणों की आहुति देने को तत्पर थे। यह युद्ध के उस उच्च अनुशासन को प्रकट करता है जहाँ व्यक्तिगत सुरक्षा से ऊपर स्वामी का सम्मान और विजय का लक्ष्य होता है।
