ततस्तान् राक्षसान् सर्वान् हर्षयन् रावणात्मजः ।
स्तुवानो हर्षमाणश्च इदं वचनमब्रवीत् ॥६-९१-४॥
tatastān rākṣasān sarvān harṣayan rāvaṇātmajaḥ |
stuvāno harṣamāṇaśca idaṃ vacanamabravīt ॥6-91-4॥
Translation
Then the son of Ravana (Indrajit), gladdening all those Rakshasas, praised them and, feeling joyful himself, spoke these words.
हिंदी अनुवाद
तब रावण के पुत्र (इन्द्रजित) ने उन सभी राक्षसों को प्रसन्न करते हुए, उनकी प्रशंसा की और स्वयं भी हर्षित होकर यह वचन कहा।
English Commentary
Indrajit, like a skilled general, attempts to bolster the morale of his discouraged army. He realizes that the destruction of his chariot might dampen the troops' spirits. Praise and encouragement ('Stuvanah') act as a life-force in battle. Here, Indrajit's tactical cunning is evident as he tries to normalize the atmosphere with feigned joy to keep his future plan concealed.

इन्द्रजित एक कुशल सेनापति की भांति अपनी हताश सेना का मनोबल बढ़ाने का प्रयास कर रहा है। वह जानता है कि उसके रथ का विनाश सैनिकों के उत्साह को कम कर सकता है। प्रशंसा और प्रोत्साहन (स्तुवानः) युद्ध में संजीवनी का कार्य करते हैं। यहाँ इन्द्रजित की कूटनीतिक चतुरता दिखाई देती है, जहाँ वह अपनी भावी योजना को गुप्त रखने के लिए वातावरण को सामान्य और हर्षपूर्ण बनाने का प्रयास कर रहा है।
