Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तैः पृषत्कैर्ललाटस्थैः शुशुभे रघुनन्दनः ।
रणाग्रे समरश्लाघी त्रिशृङ्ग इव पर्वतः ॥६-९१-३५॥
taiḥ pṛṣatkai rlalāṭasthaīḥ śuśubhe raghunandanaḥ |
raṇāgre samaraślāghī triśṛṅga iva parvataḥ ॥6-91-35॥
Translation
With those arrows lodged in His forehead, the delight of the Raghus (Lakshmana) shone at the front of the battle like a mountain with three peaks.
हिंदी अनुवाद
माथे पर लगे उन बाणों से रघुकुल भूषण लक्ष्मण युद्ध के अग्रभाग में ऐसे सुशोभित हुए, जैसे तीन शिखरों (चोटियों) वाला कोई पर्वत हो।
English Commentary
This analogy by Sage Valmiki is truly divine. Even after being wounded, Lakshmana's beauty and dignity remained undiminished. Comparing Him to a 'three-peaked mountain' signifies His immovable fortitude and majesty. He bore the pain as if it were an ornament. This sight was a source of pride for the Vanaras and astonishment for the Rakshasas.

महर्षि वाल्मीकि की यह उपमा अत्यंत दिव्य है। चोट लगने पर भी लक्ष्मण जी का सौंदर्य और गरिमा कम नहीं हुई। 'त्रि-शृङ्गः पर्वतः' की उपमा उनके अडिग धैर्य और प्रताप को दर्शाती है। वे पीड़ा को भी आभूषण की भांति धारण कर रहे थे। यह दृश्य वानर सेना के लिए गर्व का और राक्षसों के लिए विस्मय का विषय था।
