घोरैर्विव्यधतुर्बाणैः कृतभावावुभौ जये ।
ततः समरकोपेन संयुक्तो रावणात्मजः ॥६-९१-४०॥
ghoraīrvivyadhaturbāṇaiḥ kṛtabhāvāvubhaū jaye |
tataḥ samarakōpēna saṃyuktō rāvaṇātmajaḥ ॥6-91-40॥
Translation
With a firm resolve for victory, they both were piercing each other with terrifying arrows. Then, the son of Ravana (Indrajit) was filled with intense martial fury.
हिंदी अनुवाद
विजय प्राप्त करने के दृढ़ संकल्प के साथ वे दोनों भयंकर बाणों से एक-दूसरे को बेध रहे थे। तब रावण का पुत्र (इन्द्रजित) युद्ध के प्रचंड क्रोध से भर गया।
English Commentary
The word 'Kritabhavau' reflects their mental resolve—neither was willing to concede. Indrajit's rage manifests his desperation and irritation at Shri Lakshmana's steadfastness. He was now preparing to channel his fury into a final, massive assault.

'कृतभावौ' शब्द उनके मानसिक संकल्प को दर्शाता है कि दोनों में से कोई भी हार मानने को तैयार नहीं था। इन्द्रजित का क्रोध यहाँ उसकी हताशा और श्री लक्ष्मण जी की दृढ़ता के प्रति उसकी चिढ़ को प्रकट करता है। वह अब अपने क्रोध को अस्त्रों में परिवर्तित कर एक महा-प्रहार करने की तैयारी में था।
