विभीषणं त्रिभिर्बाणैर्विव्याध वदने शुभे ।
अयोमुखैस्त्रिर्भिर्विद्ध्वा राक्षसेन्द्रं विभीषणम् ॥६-९१-४१॥
vibhīṣaṇaṃ tribhirbāṇairvivyādha vadane śubhe |
ayōmukhaīstrirbhirviddhvā rākṣasēndraṃ vibhīṣaṇam ॥6-91-41॥
Translation
He (Indrajit) pierced Vibhishana on his auspicious face with three arrows. Having struck the Rakshasa chief Vibhishana with three iron-headed shafts—

English Commentary
Indrajit's strike on Shri Vibhishana is the peak of his familial vengeance. Viewing his uncle as a traitor, he sought to inflict both physical and mental agony. Striking the 'face' is considered highly insulting in warrior codes. The use of 'Ayomukhaih' (iron-headed) arrows confirms their lethal force.

इन्द्रजित का विभीषण जी पर प्रहार करना उसके पारिवारिक प्रतिशोध की पराकाष्ठा है। वह अपने चाचा को 'कुलद्रोही' मानकर उन्हें शारीरिक और मानसिक पीड़ा देना चाहता था। मुख (वदने) पर प्रहार करना अत्यंत अपमानजनक माना जाता है। 'अयोमुखैः' (लोहे की नोक वाले) बाणों का प्रयोग उनकी मारक शक्ति को पुष्ट करता है।
