वज्रस्पर्शसमान् पञ्च ससर्जोरसि मार्गणान् ।
ते तस्य कायं निर्भिद्य रुक्मपुङ्खा निमित्तगाः ॥६-९१-४६॥
vajrasparśasamān pañca sasarjōrasi mārgaṇān |
te tasya kāyaṃ nirbhidya rukmapuṅkhā nimittagāḥ ॥6-91-46॥

Discharged five arrows, which were like the touch of a thunderbolt, onto his chest. Those gold-feathered arrows, having pierced through his body—

English Commentary
Shri Vibhishana strikes Indrajit's chest. The 'thunderbolt-touch' analogy depicts the hardness and lethality of the arrows. The term 'Nimittagah' (hitting the mark) proves Vibhishana's concentration. This strike was excruciating for Indrajit, progressively weakening him physically.

विभीषण जी ने इन्द्रजित के वक्ष (छाती) पर प्रहार किया। 'वज्रस्पर्श' की उपमा बाणों की कठोरता और मारक क्षमता को दर्शाती है। बाणों का 'निमित्तगाः' (निशाने पर लगना) होना विभीषण जी की एकाग्रता को सिद्ध करता है। यह प्रहार इन्द्रजित के लिए अत्यंत पीड़ादायक था, जो उसे शारीरिक रूप से निर्बल बना रहा था।
