धृष्टं भवन्तो युध्यन्तु हरीणां मोहनाय वै ।
अहं तु रथमास्थाय आगमिष्यामि संयुगम् ॥६-९१-६॥
dhṛṣṭaṃ bhavanto yudhyantu harīṇāṃ mohanāya vai |
ahaṃ tu rathamāsthāya āgamiṣyāmi saṃyugam ॥6-91-6॥
Translation
Continue to fight boldly to delude the monkeys. As for me, I shall mount another chariot and return to the battlefield.
हिंदी अनुवाद
आप सब वानरों को भ्रमित करने के लिए निडर होकर युद्ध जारी रखें। मैं दूसरे रथ पर सवार होकर पुनः युद्ध के मैदान में आऊँगा।
English Commentary
Indrajit commands his army to hold the line so he can return to Lanka to procure a fresh chariot. The word 'Mohanaya' (to delude) clarifies his cunning strategy—he wants the Vanaras to believe he is still present while he safely withdraws. This exemplifies a commander using his troops as a shield, reflecting demonic self-interest.

इन्द्रजित अपनी सेना को डटे रहने का आदेश देता है ताकि वह स्वयं लंका जाकर नया रथ ले आए। 'मोहनय' (भ्रमित करने के लिए) शब्द उसकी कुटिल नीति को स्पष्ट करता है—वह चाहता है कि वानर उसे मैदान में ही समझें, जबकि वह सुरक्षित पीछे हट रहा था। यह एक सेनापति का अपनी सेना को ढाल की तरह प्रयोग करने का उदाहरण है, जो राक्षसी स्वार्थ का परिचायक है।
