आसुरं शत्रुनाशाय घोरमस्त्रं समाददे ।
तस्माच्चापाद्विनिष्पेतुर्भास्वराः कूटमुद्गराः ॥६-९१-६०॥
āsuraṃ śatrunāśāya ghōramastraṃ samādadē |
tasmāccāpād-viniṣpētur bhāsvarāḥ kūṭamudgarāḥ ॥6-91-60॥
Translation
To destroy the enemy, Indrajit took up the terrifying 'Asura' (Demonic) missile. From that bow, shining and deceptive mallets (Kuta-mudgaras) began to issue forth.
हिंदी अनुवाद
शत्रु का विनाश करने के लिए इन्द्रजित ने भयंकर 'आसुर अस्त्र' उठाया। उस धनुष से चमकते हुए कूट-मुदगर (धोखे से चोट करने वाले हथौड़े) निकलने लगे।
English Commentary
Indrajit now resorts to his core demonic power—the 'Asura Astra.' 'Kuta-mudgaras' were illusory weapons that appeared as one thing while striking as another. The word 'Bhasvarah' (shining) highlights their artificial beauty and the deception hidden within. He was attempting to delude Shri Lakshmana through a mixture of force and fraud.

इन्द्रजित अब अपनी मूल राक्षसी शक्ति—'आसुर अस्त्र'—पर उतर आया है। 'कूट-मुद्गर' वे मायावी शस्त्र थे जो दिखाई कुछ देते थे और वार कुछ और करते थे। 'भास्वराः' (चमकते हुए) शब्द उनकी कृत्रिम सुन्दरता और उनके भीतर छिपे धोखे को दर्शाता है। वह अब छल और बल के मिश्रण से श्री लक्ष्मण जी को भ्रमित करने का प्रयास कर रहा था।
