Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
तयोः सुतुमुलं युद्धं सम्बभूवाद्भुतोपमम् ।
गगनस्थानि भूतानि लक्ष्मणं पर्यवारयन् ॥६-९१-६३॥
tayoḥ sutumulaṃ yuddhaṃ sambabhūvādbhutōpamam |
gaganasthāni bhūtāni lakṣmaṇaṃ paryavārayan ॥6-91-63॥
Translation
An exceedingly tumultuous and wonderful battle took place between them. The beings stationed in the sky surrounded Lakshmana (to support Him).
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन दोनों के बीच वह अत्यंत तुमुल और अद्भुत युद्ध हुआ। आकाश में स्थित सभी प्राणी लक्ष्मण को सब ओर से घेरकर (उनकी रक्षा करने लगे)।
English Commentary
This battle was no longer confined to the earth. The 'beings in the sky' (Gods, Siddhas) aligned themselves with Shri Lakshmana. This represents the mobilization of cosmic forces in favor of Dharma. The word 'Adbhutopamam' suggests that such a combat had never been witnessed before. The entire creation was praying for Lakshmana's victory.
हिंदी टीका
यह युद्ध अब केवल पृथ्वी का नहीं रहा था। 'गगनस्थानी भूतानि' (आकाश के प्राणी जैसे देवता, सिद्ध) श्री लक्ष्मण जी के पक्ष में खड़े हो गए। यह ब्रह्मांडीय शक्तियों का धर्म के पक्ष में लामबंद होना है। 'अद्भुतोपमम्' शब्द यह बताता है कि ऐसा युद्ध पहले कभी नहीं देखा गया था। यहाँ लक्ष्मण जी की विजय के लिए सम्पूर्ण सृष्टि प्रार्थना कर रही थी।
