Srimad Valmiki Ramayana
भैरवाभिरुते भीमे युद्धे वानररक्षसाम् ।
भूतैर्बहुभिराकाशं विस्मितैरावृतं बभौ ॥६-९१-६४॥
bhairavābhirutē bhīmē yuddhē vānararākṣasām |
bhūtaīrbahubhirākāśaṃ vismitaīrāva rtaṃ babhau ॥6-91-64॥
Translation
In that terrifying and fearful war of monkeys and Rakshasas, the sky appeared completely filled with numerous astonished spirits (beings).
हिंदी अनुवाद
वानरों और राक्षसों के उस भयंकर और डरावने युद्ध में, विस्मित हुए अनेक सूक्ष्म प्राणियों (भूतों) से आकाश पूरी तरह भरा हुआ दिखाई दे रहा था।
English Commentary
The uproar of the battlefield was 'Bhairava' (terrifying). The sky being filled with 'astonished' beings indicates that this war was a subject of curiosity and concern even for deities and subtle entities. This scene portrays a depth of battle where the boundaries of the visible and invisible worlds merge. All realms were eager to witness the end of unrighteousness.

रणभूमि का कोलाहल 'भैरव' (डरावना) था। आकाश का 'विस्मित' प्राणियों से भर जाना यह दर्शाता है कि यह युद्ध देवी-देवताओं और सूक्ष्म शक्तियों के लिए भी कौतूहल और चिंता का विषय था। यह दृश्य युद्ध की उस गहराई को चित्रित करता है जहाँ दृश्य और अदृश्य जगत की सीमाएं मिल जाती हैं। अधर्म का अंत देखने के लिए सभी लोक लालायित थे।
