दुरावारं दुर्विषह्यं राक्षसानां भयावहम् ।
आशीविषविषप्रख्यं देवसङ्घैः समर्चितम् ॥६-९१-६८॥
durāvāraṃ durviṣahyaṃ rākṣasānāṃ bhayāvaham |
āśīviṣaviṣaprakhyaṃ dēvasaṅghaīḥ samarçitam ॥6-91-68॥
Translation
That arrow was difficult to check, unbearable, terrifying to the Rakshasas, resembling the venom of a cobra, and worshipped by the hosts of Gods.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वह बाण रोकने में कठिन, असहनीय, राक्षसों के लिए भय पैदा करने वाला, जहरीले साँप के विष के समान और देव-समूहों द्वारा पूजित था।
English Commentary
Describing the arrow as 'Samarcitam' (worshipped) by the Gods proves its supernatural origin. It was the literal rod of divine punishment. The cobra-venom analogy depicts its unerring lethality. For the Rakshasas, it was 'Bhayavaham' (terrifying) as they realized no power remained to protect them anymore.

बाण को 'देवसङ्घैः समर्पितम्' (देवताओं द्वारा पूजित) कहना उसकी अलौकिकता को सिद्ध करता है। यह साक्षात् धर्म का दंड था। 'आशीविष' (सर्प विष) की उपमा इसकी अचूक मारक क्षमता को दर्शाती है। राक्षसों के लिए यह 'भयावह' (डरावना) था क्योंकि वे जान गए थे कि अब उनकी रक्षा करने वाली कोई शक्ति नहीं बची है।
