येन शक्रो महातेजा दानवानजयत् प्रभुः ।
पुरा दैवासुरे युद्धे वीर्यवान् हरिवाहनः ॥६-९१-६९॥
yēna śakrō mahātējā dānavānajayat prabhuḥ |
purā daivāsurē yuddhē vīryavān harivāhanaḥ ॥6-91-69॥
Translation
With which arrow the highly radiant Lord Indra, of great prowess and having the horse (or Airavata) as His vehicle, had conquered the Danavas in the ancient war of Gods and Demons—

जिस बाण से प्राचीन काल के देवासुर संग्श्री राम में महातेजस्वी और ऐरावत (या घोड़ों) पर सवारी करने वाले प्रभु इन्द्र ने दानवों को जीता था—
English Commentary
This verse recounts the historical significance of the 'Aindrastra' (Indra's missile). The very weapon that annihilated the Danava forces was now in Shri Lakshmana's hands. It proves that Lakshmana possessed the weapon forged for the security of the cosmos. Indrajit's end was to be a repetition of this divine historical triumph.
हिंदी टीका
यह बाण 'ऐन्द्रास्त्र' (Indrastra) की ऐतिहासिक महत्ता को बताता है। जिस अस्त्र ने सम्पूर्ण दानव सेना का अंत किया था, वह अब श्री लक्ष्मण जी के हाथों में था। 'हरिवाहनः' इन्द्र का विशेषण है। यह श्लोक सिद्ध करता है कि लक्ष्मण जी को वह अस्त्र प्राप्त था जो ब्रह्मांड की सुरक्षा के लिए निर्मित किया गया था। अब इन्द्रजित का अंत इसी दिव्य इतिहास की पुनरावृत्ति होने वाला था।
