तदैन्द्रमस्त्रं सौमित्रिः संयुगेष्वपराजितम् ।
शरश्रेष्ठं धनुः श्रेष्ठे नरश्रेष्ठो ऽभिसन्दधे ॥६-९१-७०॥
tadaīndramastraṃ saumitriḥ saṃyugēṣvaparājitam |
śaraśreṣṭhaṃ dhanuḥ śrēṣṭhē naraśrēṣṭhō 'bhisaṃdadhē ॥6-91-70॥
Translation
That unsurpassed 'Aindra' missile, ever-undefeated in battles, that best among men (Lakshmana) fixed upon His excellent bow.
हिंदी अनुवाद
युद्धों में कभी न हारने वाले उस श्रेष्ठ 'ऐन्द्रास्त्र' को, मनुष्यों में श्रेष्ठ लक्ष्मण ने अपने श्रेष्ठ धनुष पर संधान किया।
English Commentary
The triple repetition of 'Shreshtha' (best)—best missile, best bow, and best man—illustrates the peak of the confrontation. The word 'Aparajitam' (undefeated) is a proclamation of the missile's guaranteed success. Shri Lakshmana stands here fully established in His divinity to judge unrighteousness. It is the moment before destruction where the power of the entire cosmos was concentrated in His grip.

यहाँ 'श्रेष्ठ' शब्द की पुनरावृत्ति—अस्त्र श्रेष्ठ, धनुष श्रेष्ठ और पुरुष श्रेष्ठ—युद्ध की पराकाष्ठा को दर्शाती है। 'अपराजितम्' शब्द इस अस्त्र की निश्चित सफलता की घोषणा है। श्री लक्ष्मण जी यहाँ पूर्णतः ईश्वरत्व में स्थित होकर अधर्म का न्याय करने जा रहे हैं। यह संहार के पूर्व की वह घड़ी है जहाँ सम्पूर्ण ब्रह्मांड की शक्ति लक्ष्मण जी की मुट्ठी में सिमट आई थी।
