सन्धायामित्रदलनं विचकर्ष शरासनम् ।
सज्यमायम्य दुर्धर्षं कालो लोकक्षये यथा ॥६-९१-७१॥
saṃdhāyāmitradalanaṃ vicakarṣa śarāsanam |
sajyamāyamya durdharṣaṃ kālō lōkakṣayē yathā ॥6-91-71॥
Translation
Aiming that subduer of enemies, He drew the bow. Stretching the string to its limit, the invincible one appeared like Time (Death) itself, ready for the destruction of the world.

शत्रुओं का दलन करने वाले उस अजेय धनुष को उन्होंने खींचा। डोरी को पूरी तरह खींचते हुए वे साक्षात् 'काल' के समान लग रहे थे जो लोकों के संहार के लिए उद्यत हो।
English Commentary
Comparing Lakshmana to 'Kala' (Time/Death) is the ultimate expression of His fierce form. The drawing of the bow ('Vicakarsha') signifies the firmness of His resolve. The term 'Lokakshaye' suggests that Indrajit's end was not a mundane event but the termination of a cataclysmic demonic energy. Lakshmana stands here as the literal adjudicator of Dharma.

लक्ष्मण जी की तुलना 'काल' (मृत्यु) से करना उनके रौद्र रूप की चरम अभिव्यक्ति है। धनुष का खिंचाव (विककर्ष) उनके संकल्प की दृढ़ता को दर्शाता है। 'लोकक्षय' शब्द यह संकेत देता है कि इन्द्रजित का अंत कोई साधारण घटना नहीं, बल्कि एक प्रलयकारी आसुरी ऊर्जा का समापन था। यहाँ लक्ष्मण जी साक्षात् धर्म के न्यायदाता के रूप में खड़े हैं।
