ऐन्द्रास्त्रेण समायोज्य लक्ष्मणः परवीरहा ।
स शिरः सशिरस्त्राणं श्रीमज्ज्वलितकुण्डलम् ॥६-९१-७५॥
aindrāstrēṇa samāyōjya lakṣmaṇaḥ paravīrahā |
sa śiraḥ saśirastrāṇaṃ śrīmajjvalitakuṇḍalam ॥6-91-75॥
Translation
Having joined it with the 'Aindra' missile, Lakshmana, the destroyer of enemy heroes, (discharged it). That head (of Indrajit), adorned with a helmet and shining earrings—

ऐन्द्रास्त्र से अभिमंत्रित करके, शत्रु वीरों का संहार करने वाले लक्ष्मण ने (उस बाण को छोड़ा)। इन्द्रजित का वह सिर, जो मुकुट और चमकते हुए कुण्डलों से सुशोभित था—
English Commentary
Shri Lakshmana charged the arrow with the 'Aindra' missile, which guarantees victory. The epithet 'Paraviraha' confirms His destructive potency. Indrajit's head was adorned with a 'helmet' and 'shining earrings,' reflecting his royal grandeur that persisted until his final breath. This verse is the culmination of that historic moment where Lanka's greatest champion faced his end. With this, an era of unrighteousness was about to close.

लक्ष्मण जी ने बाण को 'ऐन्द्रास्त्र' से युक्त किया, जो विजय सुनिश्चित करने वाला है। 'परवीरहा' विशेषण उनके संहारक सामर्थ्य को पुष्ट करता है। इन्द्रजित का सिर 'सकुण्डल' और 'सशिरस्त्राण' (मुकुट सहित) था, जो उसके अंतिम समय तक बने रहे राजसी गौरव को दर्शाता है। यह श्लोक उस ऐतिहासिक क्षण की पराकाष्ठा है जहाँ लंका का सबसे बड़ा योद्धा अपने अंत के सम्मुख था। इसके साथ ही अधर्म का एक युग समाप्त होने जा रहा था।
