वध्यमाना दिशो भेजे हरिभिर्जितकाशिभिः ।
वानरैर्वध्यमानास्ते शस्त्राण्युत्सृज्य राक्षसाः ॥६-९१-८१॥
vadhyamānā diśo bheje haribhirjitakāśibhiḥ |
vānarairvadhyamānāste śastrāṇyutsṛjya rākṣasāḥ ॥6-91-81॥
Translation
...began to flee in all directions while being struck by the victorious monkeys. Being struck by the monkeys, those Rakshasas cast aside their weapons.

...विजयी वानरों द्वारा मारी जाती हुई दिशाओं में भागने लगी। वानरों द्वारा मारे जाते हुए उन राक्षसों ने अपने शस्त्र त्याग दिए।
English Commentary
An army without a leader is in a perilous state. Following Indrajit's fall, the monkey army, now described as 'jitakashi' (shining with victory), intensified their attack. The terrified Rakshasas abandoned the warrior code and cast aside their weapons. This verse illustrates the psychology of war; when the supreme commander falls, the soldiers' morale collapses, and self-preservation overrides the duty to fight.

नेता विहीन सेना की स्थिति दयनीय होती है। इंद्रजित के पतन के बाद, वानर सेना, जो अब 'जितकाशी' (विजय की आभा से युक्त) थी, ने राक्षसों पर आक्रमण तेज कर दिया। भयभीत राक्षसों ने युद्ध धर्म को त्याग कर अपने शस्त्र फेंक दिए। यह श्लोक युद्ध मनोविज्ञान को दर्शाता है; जब शीर्ष नेतृत्व गिरता है, तो सैनिकों का साहस समाप्त हो जाता है और वे प्राण रक्षा को ही प्राथमिकता देते हैं।
