लङ्कामभिमुखाः सस्त्रुर्नष्टसञ्ज्ञाः प्रधाविताः ।
दुद्रुवुर्बहुधा भीता राक्षसाः शतशो दिशः ॥६-९१-८२॥
laṅkāmabhimukhāḥ sastrustrastaṃjñāḥ pradhāvitāḥ |
dudruvurbahudhā bhītā rākṣasāḥ śataśo diśaḥ ॥6-91-82॥
Translation
They ran towards Lanka, having lost their senses (in fear). Terrified, the Rakshasas fled in hundreds of directions and in various ways.
हिंदी अनुवाद
वे सुध-बुध खोकर लंका की ओर मुख करके भागे। भयभीत होकर राक्षस सैकड़ों दिशाओं में और अनेक प्रकार से दौड़ पड़े।
English Commentary
A vivid depiction of the Rakshasas' plight is presented here. The term 'nashtasanjna' implies they lost their faculties of reasoning due to sheer panic. Those who were roaring yesterday were now blindly seeking refuge behind Lanka's walls. This highlights the fragility of the side of Adharma—once the center of power is destroyed, the followers become directionless and scattered.

राक्षसों की दशा का सजीव चित्रण यहाँ किया गया है। 'नष्टसंज्ञा' का अर्थ है कि भय के कारण उनकी सोचने-समझने की शक्ति समाप्त हो गई थी। जो राक्षस कल तक गर्जना कर रहे थे, वे अब केवल लंका की दीवारों के पीछे शरण खोज रहे थे। यह अधर्म के पक्ष की क्षणभंगुरता को दर्शाता है—जब शक्ति का केंद्र नष्ट होता है, तो अनुयायी दिशाहीन हो जाते हैं।
