त्यक्त्वा प्रहरणान् सर्वे पट्टिशासिपरश्वधान् ।
केचिल्लङ्कां परित्रस्ताः प्रविष्टा वानरार्दिताः ॥६-९१-८३॥
tyaktvā praharaṇān sarve paṭṭiśāsiparaśvadhān |
kecillaṅkāṃ paritrastāḥ praviṣṭā vānarārditāḥ ॥6-91-83॥
Translation
Abandoning all their weapons like sharp-edged spears, swords, and axes, some Rakshasas, tormented by the monkeys and utterly terrified, entered Lanka.
हिंदी अनुवाद
पट्टिश, तलवार और फरसे आदि सभी प्रहारक अस्त्रों को त्यागकर, वानरों से पीड़ित होकर, कुछ अत्यंत भयभीत राक्षस लंका में प्रवेश कर गए।
English Commentary
This scene depicts the total surrender and defeat of the Rakshasas. Heavy weapons like pattishas and axes, once symbols of their strength, became burdens. To save their lives, they abandoned the very tools of their defense. The pressure from the monkeys was so immense that retreating into the city of Lanka became their sole objective. This verse shows how the pride of a warrior crumbles in the face of mortal fear.

यहाँ राक्षसों के पूर्ण समर्पण और पराजय का दृश्य है। पट्टिश और फरसे जैसे भारी हथियार, जो उनकी शक्ति के प्रतीक थे, अब बोझ बन गए थे। जान बचाने के लिए उन्होंने अपनी रक्षा के साधनों (शस्त्रों) को ही त्याग दिया। वानरों का दबाव इतना अधिक था कि सुरक्षित लंका पुरी में घुसना ही उनका एकमात्र लक्ष्य रह गया था। यह श्लोक बताता है कि प्राण भय के सामने योद्धा का अभिमान कैसे चूर हो जाता है।
