समुद्रे पतिताः केचित् केचित् पर्वतमाश्रिताः ।
हतमिन्द्रजितं दृष्ट्वा शयानं समरक्षितौ ॥६-९१-८४॥
samudre patitāḥ kecit kecit parvatamāśritāḥ |
hatamindrajitaṃ dṛṣṭvā śayānaṃ samarakṣitau ॥6-91-84॥
Translation
Seeing Indrajit lying dead on the battlefield, some fell into the ocean, while others took refuge in the mountains.

युद्धभूमि में इंद्रजित को मरा पड़ा देखकर कुछ राक्षस समुद्र में गिर पड़े और कुछ ने पर्वतों का आश्रय लिया।
English Commentary
Indrajit was not just a commander; he was the anchor of hope for the Rakshasas. Seeing him dead led to such desperation that they fled blindly—some jumping into the ocean where death was likely, others hiding in the mountains. This stampede illustrates the chaos that ensues following the fall of a leader who was considered invincible.

इंद्रजित केवल एक सेनापति नहीं था, वह राक्षसों की आशा का केंद्र था। उसे मृत देखकर वे इतने हताश हुए कि उन्हें यह भी भान नहीं रहा कि वे कहाँ भाग रहे हैं—कुछ समुद्र में कूद गए जहाँ मृत्यु निश्चित थी, और कुछ पहाड़ों में छिप गए। यह भगदड़ उस अराजकता को दर्शाती है जो एक अजेय माने जाने वाले नेता के पतन के बाद उत्पन्न होती है।
