बभूव लोकः पतिते राक्षसेन्द्रसुते तदा ।
हर्षं च शक्रो भगवान् सह सर्वैः सुरर्षभैः ॥६-९१-८८॥
babhūva lokaḥ patite rākṣasendrasute tadā |
harṣaṃ ca śakro bhagavān saha sarvaiḥ surarṣabhaiḥ ॥6-91-88॥
Translation
Upon the fall of the Rakshasa King's son, the world became peaceful/happy. Lord Indra, along with all the foremost Devas, also experienced joy.
हिंदी अनुवाद
राक्षसराज रावण के पुत्र के गिरने पर संसार सुखी हो गया। भगवान इंद्र भी सभी श्रेष्ठ देवताओं के साथ हर्ष को प्राप्त हुए।
English Commentary
The name 'Indrajit' itself signified his conquest over Lord Indra. Therefore, it was natural for Indra to rejoice at his death. The phrase 'the world became (happy)' indicates that the fear of him was universal. Lord Indra's joy represents not just personal retribution, but the satisfaction of seeing the divine order restored.

इंद्रजित नाम ही इसलिए पड़ा था क्योंकि उसने भगवान इंद्र को जीता था। इसलिए, उसकी मृत्यु पर इंद्र का हर्षित होना स्वाभाविक था। 'लोकः बभूव' (संसार हुआ - अर्थात सुखी हुआ) यह दर्शाता है कि उसका भय सार्वभौमिक था। भगवान इंद्र का हर्ष व्यक्तिगत प्रतिशोध नहीं, बल्कि दैवीय व्यवस्था की पुनर्स्थापना की खुशी है।
