लक्ष्मणो जयतीत्येवं वाक्यं विश्रावयंस्तदा ।
अन्योन्यं च समाश्लिष्य कपयो हृष्टमानसाः ॥ ६.९१.९७ ॥ चक्रुरुच्चावचगुणा राघवाश्रयजाः कथाः ॥ ॥६-९१-९७॥
lakṣmaṇo jayatītyevaṃ vākyaṃ viśrāvayaṃstadā |
anyonyaṃ ca samāśliṣya kapayo hṛṣṭamānasāḥ |

Translation
Proclaiming loudly the words "Victory to Lakshmana!", the delighted monkeys embraced each other and engaged in various conversations about the virtues born of taking refuge in the Raghava (Shri Rama/Lakshmana).
हिंदी अनुवाद
"लक्ष्मण जी की जय हो!" इस वाक्य को जोर-जोर से सुनाते हुए, प्रसन्न मन वाले वानरों ने एक-दूसरे को गले लगाया और रघुनंदन (श्री राम-लक्ष्मण) के आश्रय से उत्पन्न अनेक प्रकार के गुणों वाली बातें कीं।
English Commentary
The monkeys' proclamation "Victory to Lakshmana!" came straight from their hearts. They embraced each other in congratulation. Most importantly, they discussed 'Raghavashrayajah kathah' (stories born of taking refuge in the Raghavas). They believed that their victory, their survival, and their valor were all results of taking shelter under Shri Rama and Lakshmana. This is a beautiful example of devotion and surrender.
हिंदी टीका
वानरों का जयघोष "लक्ष्मणो जयति" सीधे उनके हृदय से निकला था। वे एक-दूसरे को गले लगाकर बधाई दे रहे थे। सबसे महत्वपूर्ण बात यह है कि वे 'राघवाश्रयजाः कथाः' (श्री राम-लक्ष्मण के आश्रय से उत्पन्न कथाएं) कह रहे थे। उनका मानना था कि उनकी यह विजय, उनका जीवित रहना और यह पराक्रम—सब कुछ श्री राम और लक्ष्मण के आश्रय का ही परिणाम है। यह भक्ति और शरणागति का सुंदर उदाहरण है।
