उपवेश्य तमुत्सङ्गे परिष्वज्यावपीडितम् ।
भ्रातरं लक्ष्मणं स्निग्धं पुनः पुनरुदैक्षत ॥६-९२-१०॥
upaveśya tamutsaṅge pariṣvajyāvapīḍitam |
bhrātaraṃ lakṣmaṇaṃ snigdhaṃ punaḥ punarudaikṣata ॥6-92-10॥
Translation
Having seated him on his lap and embraced him, Shri Rama looked repeatedly at his affectionate brother Lakshmana, who was tormented by wounds.
हिंदी अनुवाद
उन्हें गोद में बैठाकर और हृदय से लगाकर, श्रीश्री राम ने उस घायल और स्नेही भाई लक्ष्मण को बार-बार (ध्यान से) देखा।
English Commentary
Shri Rama's gaze is fixed on Lakshmana; he looks at him 'again and again'. This scrutiny is driven by anxiety and love, as he assesses the extent of Lakshmana's injuries ('avapīḍitam'). The embrace is physically soothing and emotionally grounding for the wounded warrior. The use of the word 'snigdhaṃ' (affectionate/loving) describes Lakshmana's nature—despite his fierce form in battle, he remains a tender, loving brother in Shri Rama's arms.
हिंदी टीका
श्रीश्री राम का लक्ष्मण को 'पुनः पुनरुदैक्षत' (बार-बार देखना) उनकी चिंता और वात्सल्य को प्रकट करता है। वे लक्ष्मण के शरीर पर लगे एक-एक घाव को देख रहे हैं। 'अवपीडितम्' शब्द बताता है कि लक्ष्मण बहुत दर्द में थे। श्रीश्री राम का आलिंगन उस पीड़ा पर मरहम का काम कर रहा है। यहाँ युद्ध का कोलाहल शांत हो जाता है और केवल दो भाइयों के बीच का मूक संवाद शेष रहता है।
