मूर्ध्नि चैनमुपाघ्राय भूयः संस्पृश्य च त्वरन् ।
उवाच लक्ष्मणं वाक्यमाश्वस्य पुरुषर्षभः ॥६-९२-१२॥
mūrdhni cainamupāghrāya bhūyaḥ saṃspṛśya ca tvaran |
uvāca lakṣmaṇaṃ vākyamāśvasya puruṣarṣabhaḥ ॥6-92-12॥
Translation
Smelling his head again and hastily touching him (to examine/soothe wounds), that Bull among Men (Shri Rama) comforted Lakshmana and spoke these words.
हिंदी अनुवाद
पुरुषों में श्रेष्ठ श्रीश्री राम ने पुनः उनका मस्तक सूंघा और शीघ्रता से उनके अंगों का स्पर्श करते हुए, उन्हें आश्वासन देते हुए यह वचन कहा।
English Commentary
Shri Rama's actions are frantic yet tender. 'Tvaran' (hastily) suggests urgency in checking Lakshmana's condition. By touching the limbs ('saṃspṛśya'), he is likely identifying where medical attention is needed while transmitting healing energy through his touch. Despite his own distress, as the 'Puruṣarṣabhaḥ' (Best among men), he composes himself to speak comforting words, prioritizing Lakshmana's emotional state over his own grief.

श्रीश्री राम 'त्वरन्' (शीघ्रता) कर रहे हैं, जो उनकी बेचैनी को दर्शाता है। वे लक्ष्मण के अंगों को स्पर्श करके यह देख रहे हैं कि घाव कितने गहरे हैं। 'पुरुषर्षभः' (पुरुषों में वृषभ/श्रेष्ठ) विशेषण यहाँ श्रीश्री राम के उस रूप को दर्शाता है जो दुःख में भी कर्तव्य और धैर्य नहीं खोता। वे लक्ष्मण को 'आश्वस्य' (ढांढस बंधाते हुए) बोलते हैं, ताकि लक्ष्मण का मनोबल बना रहे।
