अहोरात्रैस्त्रिभिर्वीरः कथञ्चिद्विनिपातितः ।
निरमित्रः कृतो ऽस्म्यद्य निर्यास्यति हि रावणः ॥६-९२-१६॥
ahorātraistribhirvīraḥ kathañcidvinipātitaḥ |
niramitraḥ kṛto 'smyadya niryāsyati hi rāvaṇaḥ ॥6-92-16॥
Translation
"After three days and nights, the warrior has somehow been brought down. Today, I have been made free of enemies. Now, Ravana will indeed come out."
हिंदी अनुवाद
तीन दिन और तीन रात के निरंतर युद्ध के बाद किसी प्रकार उस वीर (इंद्रजीत) को गिराया जा सका है। आज मैं (प्रमुख) शत्रुओं से रहित हो गया हूँ। अब निश्चय ही रावण बाहर निकलेगा।
English Commentary
This gives a timeline to the grueling duel—three continuous days and nights. The word 'kathañcid' (somehow/with difficulty) admits the near-invincibility of Indrajit. Shri Rama feels 'niramitraḥ' (enemy-less) not because Ravana is dead, but because the one who could magically influence the war outcome is gone. Shri Rama correctly anticipates Ravana's reaction: desperation will now force the King himself onto the battlefield.

यह श्लोक युद्ध की भीषणता को प्रकट करता है—युद्ध तीन दिन और रात ('अहोरात्रैस्त्रिभिः') तक चला। 'कथञ्चित्' (किसी प्रकार) शब्द बताता है कि इंद्रजीत को मारना लगभग असंभव था। श्रीश्री राम कहते हैं 'निश्री रामित्रः' (शत्रुहीन), जिसका अर्थ है कि मुख्य बाधा दूर हो गई है। अब वे रावण के आने की भविष्यवाणी करते हैं, क्योंकि अब रावण के पास छिपने या किसी और को भेजने का विकल्प नहीं बचा है।
