बलेनावृत्य महता निहनिष्यामि दुर्जयम् ।
त्वया लक्ष्मण नाथेन सीता च पृथिवी च मे ॥६-९२-१८॥
balenāvṛtya mahatā nihaniṣyāmi durjayam |
tvayā lakṣmaṇa nāthena sītā ca pṛthivī ca me ॥6-92-18॥
Translation
"Surrounding him with a great force, I shall kill that unconquerable one. O Lakshmana, with you as my protector/lord, both Sita and the Earth are mine."
हिंदी अनुवाद
मैं विशाल सेना के साथ उस दुर्जय रावण को घेरकर मार डालूँगा। हे लक्ष्मण! तुम जैसे स्वामी (रक्षक/नाथ) के होने से सीता और यह पृथ्वी मेरी ही है।
English Commentary
Shri Rama outlines his tactical plan to surround and kill Ravana. However, the emotional core is his address to Lakshmana as 'Nātha' (Lord/Protector). It is profoundly moving that the Supreme Lord calls his younger brother his protector. He attributes the potential reclamation of Sita and the sovereignty of the Earth entirely to Lakshmana's support. This indicates that without Lakshmana's strength, Shri Rama considers his own mission incomplete.

श्रीश्री राम अपनी प्रतिज्ञा दोहराते हैं कि वे 'दुर्जय' रावण का वध करेंगे। किन्तु, इस श्लोक का सबसे महत्वपूर्ण भाग वह है जहाँ वे लक्ष्मण को 'नाथ' (स्वामी/रक्षक) कहते हैं। भगवान होकर भी वे अपने छोटे भाई को अपना रक्षक बताते हैं। उनका कहना है कि लक्ष्मण के कारण ही सीता की वापसी और पृथ्वी का राज्य संभव है। यह लक्ष्मण के त्याग के प्रति श्रीश्री राम की कृतज्ञता का चरम है।
